Week 5 - 24th March This week I have chosen Lewis as my star of the week. I have chosen Lewis because he has made fantastic improvements to his behaviour and is now working brilliantly in the classroom. We are very proud of this turn around and look forward to it continuing after the Easter break.

Bertie Bear is coming home with Miss Potter this week because he needs to have a bath which he hates!!! I hope that he will be sensible and well behaved just like he is when he stays with you He would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter and hopes that you chill out and rest.

I would like to say a very big well done to my literacy set for continuing to reach for the stars, set targets and achieve them. I can already see fantastic progress and changes within your writing and this is because you always show 'endeavour'. Keep up the fantastic work We are working so hard to show off our writing skills and we keep making progress.

We are superb! This week in maths we have been exploring money. We have been working on totalling amounts. At first we found this very difficult however we continued to work hard and now we are getting much quicker! Well done to the children who are now able to think of 3 different ways to make a total.

We like to continue learning at home. Unfortunately it has come to that time where we say goodbye to someone who we shall really miss. Mr Apps is leaving Drapers and we shall miss him terribly. We decided to give him a send off Drapers Style! Jaguars decided to sing this song to him Have a superb Easter , Miss P. Owen has really improved with his contributions towards learning and as a result is now asking more questions and leading discussions.

He is now able to share his ideas and explain his thinking. Fantastic effort Owen, well done.

This week Bertie Bear has decided to go home with Ashleigh. This is a fantastic improvement however it didn't manage to win us a trophy. We can do this Jaguars On a positive note Aidan won the prize for 'make it in Monday'. He has won a voucher to spend. You've got to be in on Monday to win! We completed and edited our stories, created new ideas and even completed our 'warm write'. We wrote our warm writes using our story maps and changed a part of the story.

I would like to say a very big well done to the children for continuing to improve with their punctuation and conjunctions within their writing. Well done and keep up the great work. In maths this week we have been working really hard to solve multiplication and division word problem using arrays. First we need to read the problem, then decided what we need to do and finally use our knowledege of jottings to help us gain the correct answer. A very big thank you for your donations and for Mr Smith for arranging the activities for the children. They really enjoyed themselves and enjoyed the maths and literacy tasks that followed. Look at us! We work together as a team to get results! Collaborative learning at its best! Week 3 - 11th March Our star of the week this week is Peter. We have chosen Peter because he has been working exceptionally hard to contribute to class discussions, give his opinion and try his best.

Well done Peter, wishing you a wonderful birthday and a very happy birthday to Kelsey Thursday. Well done to these superstars for their hard work and continued effort with reading every day. I would like to say a very big well done to all the children who continue to learn their times table and earn their ninja badges.
